GR x PHA performance speed camp focuses on teaching and enhancing movement techniques for increasing speed and power for all athletes!

Speed is the ultimate separator. So, it's no surprise that speed is crucial to finding success as an athlete. At GR Performance, we are fortunate to work with some of the best and fastest athletes in the game of hockey. It's our mission to do everything we can to help in every aspect of your performance. So, with that in mind, we are taking everything we do with our pros and condensing it into a two-day speed camp that we will be hosting in partnership with Prairie Hockey Academy!

All athletes from any sports are welcome for this intensive camp designed to increase your speed for increased athletic performance!

Groups and Times

*** Groups are limited to 15 ***

Group 1 Ages 17+ (Grades 12 +):

Day 1: Friday night, 3:30 pm - 6:30 pm

Day 2: Saturday night, 5:30 pm - 9:00 pm

Group 2 Ages 13, 14 and 15 (Grade 8-10):

Day 1: Saturday, 8:30 am - 12:00 pm

Day 2: Sunday, 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Group 3 Ages 16 and 17 (Grades 11 and 12):

Day 1: Saturday, 1:00 pm - 4:30 pm

Day 2: Sunday, 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Sample Schedule

Day 1: Linear Acceleration Focus

  • Camp Check-In & Day Introduction: 30 minutes

  • First Session Start: 1 hour

    • Session Warm Up: 15 minutes

    • Testing: 1 hour 15 minutes

      • 10m Acceleration

      • Broad Jump

      • Squat Jump

      • Counter Movement Jump

      • Repeat Sprint Ability

    • Acceleration Training Session: 1 hour 15 minutes

  • Cool Down/Recovery Session: 30 minutes

  • Session End:

Day 2: Muti-Directional Speed (Change of Direction) Focus

  • First Session Start: 1 hour

    • Session Warm Up: 15 minutes

    • Testing: 1 hour

      • Lateral Shuffle Test

      • 505 Test

      • Jump Testing (if athletes missed Day 1)

      • Any other sport-specific testing (sport dependent)

    • Change of Direction Training Session: 1 hour 15 minutes

  • Cool Down/Recovery Session: 30 minutes
