<h2>First Shift Program.</h2><h2>The Fun Starts Here</h2>The NHL/NHLPA FIRST SHIFT program is designed to ensure a positive experience for new-to-hockey families. We want families to experience the game at its best — to understand why so many Canadians feel an inherent love for the sport, and to stimulate a desire for continued participation. We want to take away any intimidation as it relates to equipment requirements, and/or rules of the game, remove potential safety concerns, and most importantly, provide an experience that is memorable and fun.<h2>Our Goal</h2>We believe in all hockey has to offer kids, their families and our communities. We designed the FIRST SHIFT to facilitate entry into hockey by offering a program that is ACCESSIBLE, AFFORDABLE, SAFE, and most importantly, FUN! We cannot wait to help your kids fall in love with hockey.Thank you for your interest in the Coastal Tsunami First Shift program!Program Overview:• Ages: 4-6 years old• Eligibility: Participants must not have been previously registered in minor hockey.• Capacity: Limited to 15 boys and 15 girls.• Coaching Staff: TBA, with on-ice assistance from Coastal Tsunami players.<h3>Participant registration fee of $299 includes:</h3><ul><li>BAUER Equipment (Head-to-Toe)</li><li>Welcome Event</li><li>Equipment fitting demonstration</li><li>Expert fit session and equipment distribution</li></ul><h2>Important Dates:</h2>• Registration Opens: Now.• Welcome Event &amp; Player Equipment Fitting: September 2026• Equipment Distribution: October 2026• First Ice Session: October ?, 2026 3:45 PM - 4:45 PM• Regular Ice Sessions: October , 2026 - January 2027. All 13 sessions are on Wednesdays from 3:45 PM - 4:45 PM (excluding December ?).• Special Event: December (Saturday) - On-ice appearance during a TSUNAMI game, including free game tickets and VIP Room access for the Christmas PartyPlease Note: Do NOT register through the FIRST SHIFT website.
