The HoopLife League is a competitive Basketball League for Boys Grades 1-8 and Girls Grades 1-8. Giving Regina Hoopers the opportunity to compete and thrive in the province's #1 rated 5-Star basketball program, HoopLife.

League Fees:

  • 2-day league tryout costs $50:

    • Includes two—75min tryout clinic at the HoopLife Facility

  • League Fees for the season is $750 (everything included): HoopLife will provide a League Payment link via email for acceptance into the League—see below what’s included in the League:

    • Free HoopLife Membership (1 Free Month)

    • 2 Skills sessions which include basketball and/or strength training (1 hour each)

    • 16 Regular Season Games (1/week)

    • 20+ Team Practices (1/week)

    • Playoff Tournament to follow the regular season—guaranteed 2-3 games

    • Team uniforms (which the players keep forever—jersey and shorts)

    • Paid and Certified HoopLife—trained coaches

    • LIVE stream broadcasted games for FREE, which can be watched at any time on YouTube 🎥

    • Weekly updated statistics and leaderboards found on the HoopLife website

    • Consistent Practice Location

    • Season / All-Star Awards

    Get two one-hour skills sessions in basketball or strength training, designed to boost your performance and skills.

Tryouts Information:

HoopLife coaches and personnel will evaluate all athletes at tryouts and make the team selections based on the results at tryouts. Day 1 of tryouts will be a station based approach where athletes perform instructed drills and are scored based on their abilities. Day 2 of tryouts consists of performance scrimmages where coaches and players can see live action and allocate rosters accordingly.

  • Day 1 of Tryouts: Skill Stations

    • 📝 Check-in station

    • 🏃🏃‍♀️ Athleticism stations

    • 🏀 Scoring & ball handling station

    • ☄️ Shooting & footwork station

  • Day 2 of Tryouts: Performance Scrimmages

    • HoopLife Staff will create teams

    • 2 Exhibition games will be run simultaneously

    • Exhibition games will be officiated and will have constant substitutions

    • Athletes must bring reversible jersey OR 2 T-Shirts (one black + one white)

  • After tryouts, the evaluators will conduct a draft to ensure all rosters are even and fair.

  • In the first couple weeks there is a possibility for trades to balance out teams. The HoopLife team would reach out and it would be up to the parents discretion to facilitate the move.

Team Details:

  • Each roster will have no more than 10 players on a team

  • Each team will have a minimum of 20 regular-season practices

  • Each team will have a minimum of 16 regular-season games plus playoffs

  • During the course of the season, your kids will improve their overall game, developing:

    • 🏀 Basketball fundamentals and team play (shooting, dribbling, scoring, defence, etc.)

    • 💪 Physical endurance and core training

    • 📚 Basketball IQ

    • 🧠 Mindset development and confidence building

    • 📝 Fundamental offensive structure

League Details:

  • The league will start early-October and run until early-April

  • All games will have paid officials and scorekeepers

  • ⭐️ The HoopLife League will NOT have volunteer coaches. Coaches are carefully selected, paid, trained, and certified. Parents, you can guarantee that your athlete will receive top-level coaching and development throughout the season ⭐️

  • All games will have four 10 minute quarters with running time until the last 2-min of each quarter—We will provide an awesome atmosphere, the HoopLife way. Music before the game during warm-ups, after the game, during timeouts, between quarters, and at halftime

  • All League communication will be done through TeamSnap

  • Stats and standings will be tracked and posted on our HoopLife website through the season

  • All games will be broadcasted for FREE and live-streamed to watch LIVE or anytime after on the HoopLife YouTube page 🎥

  • All team schedules, including practices and games, will be set at the beginning of the season, letting your family plan your year out in advance

  • Practices are consistent each week in time and location and will be held at either HoopLife or schools around the city, we will try our absolute best to accommodate a location near you

  • During the season, players will have the opportunity to vote for All-Stars from each team. These selected ⭐️ All-Stars will compete on All-Star Day, featuring exciting events like the All-Star Game, dunk contest, three-point contest, skills challenge, and more.

  • Compete in a professional playoff tournament with 2-3 guaranteed games after the regular season, offering an exciting and competitive experience all at the HoopLife state-of-the-art building.

All players selected to join the league will receive team uniforms included in their league fees, which each athlete keeps forever.

The HoopLife league will have 9 competitive divisions where athletes will compete based on their grade and gender.

HoopLife Facility:

  • All games will take place in the brand new state-of-the-art HoopLife Centre

  • Full-size professional high-quality maple hardwood floor

  • The only gym in the city where hoops can be lowered for Grades 1/2 and 3/4 divisions

  • Grades 1/2 & 3/4 games will run simultaneously on our two side courts
