Ages 7-10 Beginner HoopLife Skills Training Session

Ages 7-10 Beginner HoopLife Skills Training Session

Beginner HoopLife Skills Training · Ages 7-10

One hour a week for players who are still learning the game. Small enough steps that nobody feels behind, and enough live play that it stays fun.

🔥 Limited space — only 8 spots in this session. These sell out. Sign up to secure your spot.

More touches. More shots. More progress. Every player is in the action the whole time — a ton of touch time and court time, and nobody standing around waiting for a turn.

📋 The Details

  • Who: Ages 7-10, new to basketball or still finding their feet. No experience needed.

  • When: multiple sessions every week, all year round including summer — come to the times that fit your schedule, in the session schedule

  • How long: 1 hour

  • Where: HoopLife Facility, 661 Solomon Cres, Regina, SK

  • To join: you will need to invest in a Session Pack or a Membership to attend

🏀 What They Do

A one-hour circuit where every player gets real reps and immediate correction, then takes it into live scrimmages.

  • Shooting form and footwork that holds up when they are guarded

  • Handling the ball without losing it

  • Layups and finishing with both hands

  • Defending the ball without fouling

  • Getting open, and what to do once they are

  • The rules and the habits of the game, explained as they go

  • Live games every session

📈 What You Can Expect

  • They want the ball instead of hiding from it

  • They will take a shot in front of other people without thinking twice

  • They know what to work on when they are in the gym on their own

  • They move and cut instead of standing and watching

  • They call themselves a basketball player

🔁 Every Week, All Year

This is the most effective way to develop a player, and it is the one thing we run every single week.

  • Runs year-round, including through the summer and through their school or club season

  • Come once a week or come to several — the more they train, the faster it shows

  • Small groups by age and level, so nobody is lost at the back of a line

  • Their coach sees them week after week and knows exactly what they are working on

  • Nothing to try out for and no season to wait for: they can start this week

  • See the session schedule for every weekly session time by age group

🗣️ Coaching

The HoopLife coaching staff is on the floor with your child the whole time — in the drills, on the bench, in the breaks. They are trained, they coach here every week, and they know what to do with a player at every level. Habits get corrected in the moment, and every kid is known by name.

💛 Help With the Cost

We never want the cost of a Session Pack or Membership to be the reason a child misses out on basketball. If paying it would be a real strain on your family right now, there is funding support available, and we will do what we can to help.
