Impact Academy Application

Last year’s inaugural Impact Academy was a resounding success, offering high-performance training to top athletes in Victoria at a time of year when many are left wanting an extra push. Six of last year’s grade 12’s have made commitments to post-secondary institutions for this fall!

To better meet the needs of the community, Impact Academy will be back for it’s sophomore year with a new look. The big change: two cohorts will each train once a week.

The High Performance cohort will combine the city’s top grade 11’s and 12’s and introduce next-level skills and tactics for the post-secondary level. They will train Monday mornings.

The Bright Futures cohort will invest in the next generation of high-performers by focussing on athletes grade 9 and 10. They will train Wednesday mornings.

Chris Dahl is the lead coach for both academies. He boasts a long history of success over his 30 years of coaching at the club and post-secondary levels. He has been deeply involved with the high-performance pathway, through his time with Team BC and Team Canada programs. He will be backed up by two quality assistant coaches, to make sure every athlete gets the attention they need to reach the next level.

Details:

• Price: $498 (payment plan available)

• Location: Pacific Christian School, new gym

• Schedule: 6:30-7:45 AM, September through December
  High Performance: Mondays, starting Sep 8
  Bright Futures: Wednesdays, starting Sep 3

• Group size: 15-18 athletes, with roughly the same composition of positions as a team of this size

Selection:

1. Complete “registration” and provide the requested information.

2. The selection panel will consider current abilities as well as future potential

3. Offers will be sent out to accepted applicants following the deadline
